About

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas was the original rock 'n' roll themed casino resort, opened on March 10, 1995, by Peter Morton (co-founder of Hard Rock Cafe). Located on Paradise Road just east of the Strip, it became the ultimate destination for music lovers, celebrities, and party-goers. The property was famous for its guitar-shaped neon sign, massive collection of rock memorabilia, and the legendary Rehab pool party that became one of the most famous dayclubs in Las Vegas history. The Joint concert venue hosted major music acts in an intimate 4,000-seat setting. The resort featured three towers with 1,504 rooms and attracted a younger, hipper demographic than traditional Strip casinos. After 25 years, the Hard Rock closed on February 3, 2020, and was sold to Virgin Hotels, which completely renovated and rebranded the property as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
