North Las Vegas' Poker Palace to Reopen as Club Fortune North
The former Poker Palace on Las Vegas Boulevard North, purchased by Truckee Gaming for $20 million in October 2025, is set to reopen in late June 2026 as Club Fortune North after a full multimillion-dollar remodel. The renovated locals casino will feature new slots and a Boomer's race and sportsbook, but no poker room or table games.

Ownership is shifting across several locals casinos: The Pass in downtown Henderson has been sold to the operator of Emerald Island and Rainbow Club, placing all three under one group, while Railroad Pass owner Joe DeSimone is taking over the Longhorn and Bighorn casinos, with plans to expand the Bighorn and renovate the Longhorn's 150-room hotel.
The Cromwell Reopens as The Vanderpump Hotel
After going offline for renovations in February 2026, the 188-room boutique property at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road has reopened as The Vanderpump Hotel, a Caesars Entertainment partnership with Lisa Vanderpump.
Athletics Stadium Construction Begins on Tropicana Site
Construction officially began on the new $1.5 billion Major League Baseball stadium for the Athletics on the former Tropicana site at the South Strip.
