About
Vegas World was the brainchild of legendary Las Vegas entrepreneur Bob Stupak, operating from 1979 to 1995. Known for its space-age theming and Stupak's outrageous marketing schemes, Vegas World was one of the most colorful casinos in Vegas history. Stupak was famous for his wild promotional offers and his vision of building the tallest observation tower in the United States. The property was demolished in 1995 to make way for the Stratosphere Tower (now The Strat), fulfilling Stupak's dream of creating Las Vegas's most visible landmark.
