Vacation Village Hotel & Casino
About
Vacation Village Hotel & Casino was a budget-oriented locals casino that opened on November 9, 1990, on the southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard. The property catered to value-conscious gamblers and travelers with its 315 rooms, 15,000 square foot casino featuring 10 table games, 700 slot machines, a sportsbook, and bingo hall. The resort offered a casual, no-frills gaming experience with affordable room rates and dining. Vacation Village struggled financially throughout its later years and ultimately closed on January 8, 2002, due to bankruptcy and foreclosure. The site was purchased by Turnberry Associates and redeveloped into Town Square Las Vegas, a popular open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment center that opened in November 2007.
