The Showboat Hotel & Casino was a landmark Las Vegas property that operated from 1954 to 2000 (later briefly as Castaways until 2004). Known for its riverboat theming and being one of the first casinos to embrace bowling as an amenity, the Showboat featured a massive 106-lane bowling center that was one of the largest in the world. The property was located on the Boulder Strip near downtown and was popular with locals. After closing as the Showboat in 2000, it briefly operated as Castaways before permanently closing in 2004 and being demolished in 2006.
