The New Frontier (originally the Last Frontier, later simply the Frontier) was a Western-themed casino resort that operated from 1942 to 2007. As one of the oldest properties on the Strip, the Frontier represented early Vegas history and the Old West aesthetic. The property was known for its longstanding entertainment tradition, hosting country music acts and featuring famous entertainment venues. It was also the site of Elvis Presley's first Vegas performance in 1956. The Frontier operated for 65 years before closing in 2007 and being imploded on November 13, 2007.
