Boardwalk Hotel & Casino

Strip 3.2 Est. 1966 MGM Resorts International

About

The Boardwalk Hotel & Casino was a Coney Island-themed resort on the Las Vegas Strip that operated from 1966 to 2006. Originally called the Holiday Inn Boardwalk, the property featured a distinctive roller coaster facade and carnival-style theming. Despite its prime location between the Monte Carlo and Bellagio, the small property could not compete with the mega-resorts surrounding it. MGM Resorts purchased the property in 2000 and closed it in 2006 to make way for the massive CityCenter development.
